- HAL is selected in the final ordering position (Options / Accessories) of the Evergreen ordering string. Example base string: Evergreen101GB-PEN; an HAL-housed sign would carry -HAL in the options position (e.g. Evergreen101GB-HAL). The sheet's printed example uses -PEN; -HAL is the same position.
- Data Concern
- HAL detail on the sheet is THIN — a single options line + ordering-position entry only. No HAL-specific luminance, rated life, dimensions, mounting detail, certs, or warranty are stated. All such data is the shared Evergreen base (below). Flag: if Sage needs HAL housing dimensions / material spec, that is NOT on this sheet and must be acquired from ST.

- General Description
- Self-luminous (radioluminescent) emergency exit and egress signs, internally illuminated by sealed tritium gas light sources. 100% reliable — require no electrical power, wiring, or batteries, and no maintenance. Evergreen = EXIT signs; custom-graphics variant = graphics (e.g. AREA OF REFUGE), per spec sheet custom-graphics variant 2.01.1.
- Suggested Spec Text
- Supply and install Series Evergreen self-luminous EXIT signs illuminated by tritium gas lamps. The housing shall be fabricated from thermoplastic with overall dimensions of 13 5/16" x 8 1/4" x 1", having a minimum UL flame rating of 94V-0, minimum external wall thickness of .09" and a polycarbonate window of .125" minimum thickness. Universal mounting brackets shall be supplied. For signs specified with a luminous life of 10 years, the minimum initial brightness measured at any point on the surface shall be 0.12 ft·L (.21 cd/m²); for any other specified lifetime, the minimum surface brightness shall be 0.012 ft·L (.021 cd/m²) per year of specified luminous life.
- Disposal
- will accept returns for proper disposal. It is unlawful to abandon or dispose of self-luminous signs except by transfer to persons specifically licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency or by an Agreement State.
- Warranties
- Unconditional warranty is provided for illuminated life as specified on the product label.
